Musings at 26 Weeks
To our great joy, we have successfully entered the THIRD trimester! It is amazing how God has kept these little babies safe and sound through all this time. The growth of the babies has been astounding. Every time my feet hurt or my back hurts or I can't fit into one of my maternity tops anymore, I couldn't be more happy because I know it means the babies are doing what they should do...GROW! We would rather have this than the alternative!
I had a doctor appt. last week (25.5 weeks), and I am now measuring at 31.5 cm. This is approximately 5-6 weeks ahead of a singleton pregnancy, but a normal twin pregnancy usually measures 5-12 cm. ahead, so everything is fine. The doctor says she thinks we'll deliver sometime around 36 weeks (at the end of October). If this is true, we only have 10 weeks left! It's so exciting and overwhelming all at the same time!
As for the babies, I am feeling them kick more all the time. Apparently this is common in the 7th month. Last night, "Milton" was kicking and punching so much that I thought something might be wrong. Steve could see my belly quiver and twitch from across the room! But the movements didn't stop, so we knew everything was ok. Could we possibly have a future boxer?? "Millicent" has settled down significantly and now I hardly feel her at all sometimes. She just seems to move in response to her brother mostly.
Please continue to pray for the safety and development of our little ones.

The cats are taking over!
