36 Weeks
Well, we made it to full term! 36 or 37 weeks is considered to be full term with twins, so we are absolutely delighted! It could be any day, or it could be a couple weeks. Today was our last prenatal ultrasound at the Maternal Fetal Medicine clinic (specialists for multiple or high risk pregnancies), and everything is looking good. Babies are now weighing in at 5 lbs 3 oz and 5 lbs 4 oz. "Milton" is head down. In fact, his head is so far down that they had a difficult time getting it in full view for a measurement. "Millicent" started out the appointment head down, but the ultrasound tech moved over to do measurements on Milton, and by the time she came back for Millicent, she had flipped herself into breach position! Naughty little thing! The ultrasound tech made a couple of comments about her being feisty or agitated today, so she may be the one to watch out for after she's born. I suppose the good news is that she is ABLE to flip herself around, so there still may be a chance of her moving back to where she's supposed to be.

34 Weeks

I suppose I should post a few pics of the nursery in its current stage. You can see them above. I am definitely "nesting" as they say, but everything is going so smoothly that I'd be surprised if we delivered already this week or next week. But, as we've learned in past experiences, sometimes God has other plans!
I am now visiting Dr. Freeburger once every week, and I am supposed to be going in for fetal non-stress tests every Monday and Thursday...so THREE doctor visits every week! I don't know how people who work full time and are pregnant with twins do it! Next ultrasound isn't until 36 weeks. Dr's say it would be ideal if we can make it past that point.
Yes, we do have names picked out, but they are top secret! The names are special to us for various reasons, but that's all we're going to say about it. You'll just have to wait and see!
I will also post a few pictures from a baby shower last weekend. My dear friend Judy, my mom, sister, and good friend Connie hosted it for us. Everyone's generosity has been completely overwhelming. God has blessed us so much more than we could ever deserve!
PS The baby in the cinnamon roll was a play off the "buns in the oven" theme, and whoever got the baby won a prize!
32 Weeks

I guess it's been a few weeks since I've posted. At the beginning of Week 32, Steve and I took a wonderful last kid-free trip to Saugatuck! We thoroughly enjoyed our alone time together and both said we would be completely at peace if the babies were born shortly thereafter. I will post a couple pictures above from that trip. Oh--by the way, we also had another ultrasound at 32 weeks. Millicent weighed in at 3 lbs 13 oz, and Milton weighed 3 lbs 12 oz. That would be the 36th percentile in weight for that stage in pregnancy. Doctors say everything looks great, and both babies are still head down! Hooray! We are hoping and praying not to have a C section.
